Abstract:The identification and classification of viruses occurring on vegetables and legumes [Fabaceae] in Japan and southeast Asia are discussed. Lettuce big-vein varicosavirus, potato mop-top furovirus, tomato spotted wilt tospovirus, konjak mosaic potyvirus, soybean chlorotic mottle caulimovirus, TMV [tobacco mosaic tobamovirus], Indonesian soybean dwarf virus [soybean Indonesian dwarf luteovirus], soybean yellow mosaic virus, cowpea stunt luteovirus, soybean crinkle leaf bigeminivirus and cowpea mild mottle carlavirus are included.
