Title:Genetic characterization of a leaf margin necrosis mutant in wild annual soybean (Glycine soja).
Authors:Yu, H., Kiang, Y.T.
Source:Genetica 1993, 90(1):31-33
Abstract:A leaf margin necrosis mutant was observed in the wild annual Glycine soja population KB20 from South Korea. The necrotic symptom appeared about 3 months after planting, mostly on older leaves, and lasted for about 2 months. Segregation analysis following crosses with South Korean wild-type KA5 showed that the inheritance of the mutation was controlled by a single recessive nuclear gene, designated lmn. The Lmn locus segregated independently of the acid phosphatase (Ap), diaphorase (Dia1 and Dia3), isocitrate dehydrogenase (Idh2), glucose-6-phosphate isomerase (Pgi1) and triosephosphate isomerase (Ti) isozyme loci
