Title:Tarnished plant bug (Heteroptera: Miridae) populations on a susceptible and a resistant soybean.

Abstract:In 1987 a replicated field test was conducted in late-planted soyabeans in Mississippi to evaluate the resistance of cv. Centennial and breeding line D82-3885 (cv. Lamar) to Lygus lineolaris. Reproduction on soyabeans was observed only when plants were flowering or had small pods. D82-3885 showed significantly lower numbers of nymphs and adults than Centennial.
