Abstract:A brief description is provided of this soyabean (Glycine max) cultivar (PI595843), which originated as an F4-derived line from the cross GR8836 × Elgin 87 and was released in 1996. Flint is an indeterminate, maturity group II cultivar generally adapted as a full-season cultivar at latitudes of 40-42°N. In Ohio trials conducted during 1992-95, seed yield of Flint was equal to that of Resnik (3430 kg/ha). Flint carries the gene Rps1-k for race-specific resistance to Phytophthora sojae.
