Abstract:Data are tabulated from trials conducted at Tifton, Plains, Midville, Griffin, Athens, Calhoun and Blairsville, Georgia, USA, during 1994. Information is provided on yield and various quantitative and qualitative characters, depending on crop. The crops comprised (1) early and late-sown irrigated and rainfed soyabeans, for which data on resistance to root knot nematodes (Meloidogyne incognita, M. arenaria and M. javanica), cyst nematodes [Heterodera glycines], lance nematode [Hoplolaimus sp.], velvetbean caterpillar [Anticarsia gemmatalis], soybean looper [Chrysodeixis includens] and corn earworm [Helicoverpa zea] are given, (2) irrigated and rainfed groundnuts, (3) flue-cured tobacco, for which chemical characteristics of the leaves are given, (4) irrigated and rainfed cotton [Gossypium sp.], (5) early and late-sown irrigated and rainfed grain sorghum, for which information on resistance to insect pests and anthracnose [Colletotrichum graminicola] is included, (6) silage sorghum, and (7) summer annual forages (sorghum √ó Sudan grass hybrids and millets).
