Abstract:Three soybean varieties, Curtis, Planalto and Santa Rosa, were studied concerning the importance of the sub-period, bloom-pod development, in the damage caused by the southern green stink bug, N. viridula (L.). The varieties Curtis and Planalto had similar duration and damage in this sub-period. Both were lower than in S. Rosa. The variety Santa Rosa presented the greatest time and the greatest damage in this sub-period
