The USDA-ARS Plant Genetics Research Unit at the Danforth Plant Sciences Center in St Louis, MO is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate for a
13 month appointment. The incumbent will conduct research to discover genes/loci and delineate gene networks controlling seed filling and seed reserve production using
a combination of molecular biology, genetics, genomics and bioinformatics approaches. The incumbent will involve generation and analysis of large-scale biological
data such as DNA sequence and gene expression data with assistance of a bioinformaticist to develop hypotheses, and further apply wet-bench techniques to validate the
hypotheses. A Ph.D. in molecular biology, plant genetics, biochemistry or a related major is required. Research experience with seed biology, oil biochemistry, genomics,
quantitative genetics or small RNA is highly desirable, but not required. The candidates with more than four-year postdoctoral experience are also encouraged to apply.
Salary is commensurate with experience ($57,408 - $89,450 per annum) plus benefits. Refer to this page
