Post Doctoral Research Associate in QTL Mapping Nematode
Resistance in Soybean
A post doctoral research associate position is available
immediately at the Soybean Genomics and Biotechnology Laboratory at the
University of Missouri. The successful candidate will focus on mapping and
cloning of QTL controlling Soybean Cyst Nematode (SCN) resistance and
comparative genetic analysis of multiple nematode resistance. Applicants should
have a Ph.D. in plant biology, genetics, or a related discipline with experience
in plant genomics and QTL dissection. The candidate will have an excellent
knowledge of experimental techniques and approaches used in plant biology and
genomics including genotyping, expression analysis, and genome mining. Excellent oral and written communication
skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are
