Post doctoral research associate in QTL Mapping of
Flooding Tolerance in Soybean
A post doctoral research associate position is available
immediately at the Soybean Genomics and Biotechnology Laboratory at the
University of Missouri. The successful candidate will work on the project
utilizing QTL analysis and comparative genomic approaches to map and
characterize the genes associated with flooding tolerance in soybean. In
addition, the project goals include the identification of candidate genes for
flooding tolerance and the development of markers for breeding applications. Applicants
should have a Ph.D. in plant biology, genetics, or a related discipline with
experience in plant genomics and QTL dissection. The candidate will have an
excellent knowledge of experimental techniques and approaches used in plant
biology and genomics including genotyping, expression analysis, and genome
mining. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work
well in a collaborative research environment are essential. Applicants should
provide a letter of interest, a complete CV, and three reference letters.
