Post-Doctoral Research Associate Position
in Phytophthora Genetics
A post-doctoral
research associate position is available immediately at the Soybean Genomics
and Biotechnology Laboratory at the University of Missouri. The main
responsibility of this position is to map QTLs for phytophthora resistance in
soybean and dissect the partial resistance candidate genes through fine mapping
and map-based cloning. The
candidate will develop molecular markers for breeding applications. Applicants
should have a Ph.D. in genetics, plant biology, or a related discipline.
Experience in QTL mapping and QTL cloning, next generation sequencing, and
genome data mining is essential. Excellent
oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a
collaborative research environment are essential. Applicants should provide a
