Convenient and rapid communication of news and announcements relating to soybean genomics has been identified as a critical need by the community. To help meet this need we have set up an email-based listserver. This is an OPT-IN email list, which means you must join to participate as either a sender or recipient of the emails.

To subscribe to the list, click here and or send an email from the address that you want the list to use to soygenomics-request@iastate.edu with this format

	   Subject: subscribe
	   Email body: subscribe

You will receive an automated reply asking you you to confirm your attempt to subscribe. Once you have done so (and after an overnight updating process) you will be able to post messages to the list and will receive messages posted by others.

Messages to be emailed to all of the list's members should be sent to soygenomics@iastate.edu. Note that the list is moderated. All postings must be approved by the moderator (David Grant, SoyBase Curator) before they are sent to the list so there may be a delay of up to a day before a new post gets propagated. Unfortunately our experience has been that this approval step is necessary to eliminate the deluge of spam listserves like this one can generate.
